AREA ACES

Elia Hilas had a hole in one on Candywood’s No. 2 hole, using a 9-iron on the 135-yard hole. Terry Taylor witnessed the shot.

Brent Johnston had a hole-in-one on the 165-yard No. 6 hole at Sebring Country Club. He used a 5-iron. Ray Wayt III and Paul Thomas were witnesses.

Neil Guerrieri of Youngstown aced the 130-yard No. 8 hole at Bedford Trails during the Steve Dorbish Memorial. He used a 6-iron on the shot, which was witnessed by Mike Dorbish, Bob Walley and Joe Nuzzo.

Ali Nageotte of the Rocky River Magnificat girls golf team aced the No. 16 hole at Tamer Win. She used a 23-degree hybrid on the 170-yard hole. She shot 76 for the 18-hole round. It was her first ace. Witnesses were Cassie Pantelas of the Massillon Jackson team and Kelly Fleming of the Canfield team.
