YSU falls 37-35 to Indiana State.

The Youngstown State football team fell to 3-2 with a 37-35 loss to Indiana State on Saturday in a Missouri Valley Football Conference game in Terre Haute, Ind.

The loss drops the Penguins to 1-1 in the conference.

After falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter, the Penguins mounted a terrific comeback, cutting the deficit to 2 with 1:21 left. But David Brown's on-side kick attempt went out of bounds before it went 10 yards and ISU ran out the clock.

YSU has an open date next weekend before returning home for a game against South Dakota State on Oct. 8.
