Deana Louise Creatura and Robert Stephen Barko Jr., both of Boardman, are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage on Oct. 15 in Our Lady of Hungary Church.

Invitations are being issued for the 1 p.m. ceremony and an evening reception to follow at the Community Activity Center at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna.

The bride-elect, a daughter of Louise Creatura of Austintown and the late Daniel Creatura, is an office assistant for Dr. Michael Sekman of Girard and a substitute teacher in Mahoning County schools. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University.

The groom, the son of Robert Barko Sr. and Paul and Geraldine Vasko, all of Youngstown, owns and operates Bob Barko Jr.’s Steel Town Studio. He is an Air Reserve technician and superintendent of public affairs for the 910th Airlift Wing, after serving 10 years with the Ohio National Guard. He graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s in fine arts.
