At least 2 dead in crash on I-79 near Pittsburgh


MORGAN, Pa. (AP) — At least two people are dead in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 near Pittsburgh.

Pennsylvania State police in Findlay Township are investigating the crash which occurred about 1 p.m. today in the southbound lanes in South Fayette Township, near the Washington County line.

The crash is causing southbound traffic to back up for miles.

A trooper at the Findlay barracks tells The Associated Press the crash involved two passenger vehicles and that troopers have been sorting out what occurred and how many people may have been killed or injured.
