CANFIELD
On Saturday, the Canfield Famous Hair staff will participate in the Regis Corporation Clip for the Cure in which 10 percent of that day’s proceeds is donated to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research.
In addition, the staff formed a team to walk in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk at the Canfield Fairgrounds on Sunday. For more information, call 330-702-0213.
Caregiver Series

The Alzheimer Network is offering a Caregiver Series on Saturday and Oct. 1 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman-Canfield Road at Westview Drive.
The sessions help family members better understand the changes in their loved ones as well as the impact of the disease on their own lives.

Free bagel offer

Beginning Oct. 3, the Womancare Center of UPMC Horizon, in partnership with Panera Bread in Hermitage, is promoting the importance of regular mammograms for early detection by offering all women who come to the Womancare Center for a mammogram a free Panera bagel. Panera will then donate 20 percent of the proceeds from the bagels, which will be purchased by UPMC Horizon, to Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Pittsburgh.
