Youngstown author back for book release

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown native Kim Hight, who now lives in Columbus, will return to the city to release her book of inspirational poetry, “Let Me Flow to Your Soul,” with a party Sunday at the B&O, 530 Mahoning Ave.

The party will take place from 2 to 5 p.m., and admission is free. Red-carpet photos will be $5, and vendors, entertainment and refreshments will be featured.

Hight is a graduate of East High School and Youngstown State University.

In the recent engagement announcement for Lynn J. Veal and Kim N. Hines, a name was inadvertently omitted from the information that was provided to The Vindicator.

Mr. Hines is the son of the late Jessie Hines Leonard.

Fall fest, craft show in Poland on Saturday

POLAND

More than 40 vendors will take part in Shepherd of the Valley-Poland’s Family Fall Fest & Craft Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the facility, 301 W. Western Reserve Road.

The event also will feature an array of outdoor activities, such as a bounce-around, face-painting, a DJ, McGruff the Crime Dog, clowns, a bake sale and food vendors, including cotton candy, kettle corn and an ice cream truck.

Additional parking will be available at Antone’s on Market Street.

A shuttle to the event will be available.
