Support to enhance job prospects
Hope Works of the Mahoning Valley at the Ursuline Center, a free support group for the unemployed/underemployed, will meet for seven weeks, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Sept. 28, at the center, 4280 Shields Road, Canfield.
The group is not a job placement agency, but an opportunity for participants to enhance job prospects by expanding their network and search strategies and sharpening their job-hunting skills, such as interviewing.
Each week, presenters will share their expertise for job-seekers, both degreed and nondegreed, of all skill levels.
Topics and dates follow:
Sept. 28, Your Successful Job Search.
Oct. 5, Fine-tuning Your Cover Letter, Résumés and Skill Set.
Oct. 12, Reinventing You and Thinking Outside the Box.
Oct. 19, Going Where the Jobs Are, Exploring the Health Care Field.
