Lack of space at jail

WARREN

A 24-year-old North Bloomfield woman charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia Saturday night was released after her arrest because of lack of space at the Trumbull County jail. Crystal S. Raymond of Oakfield North Road appeared in Warren Municipal Court Monday morning, and pleaded innocent to the two misdemeanor charges. She was released after signing for a personal-recognizance bond. Jail officials said a month ago that the jail reached capacity a couple times over the summer, and jail officials have asked police to release some misdemeanor defendants instead of locking them up. Raymond was a passenger in a car that was stopped at 10:53 p.m. for a stop-sign violation at the corner of Front Street and Nevada Avenue Southwest.
