Authorities seeking public's help to nab bank robber

BOARDMAN — After several leads fizzled today, township police and FBI agents are asking for the public’s help identifying a bank robbery suspect.

A man passed a note to a teller at Key Bank on Market Street about 3:25 p.m. Monday demanding money and saying he had a gun, police said. The bank teller complied, giving him an undisclosed amount of money, and the man fled on foot, police said.

The man is described as a 6-foot-tall white male in his late 20s or early 30s and weighing between 175 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a white Ecko Unlimited jacket, white baseball hat and blue jeans, according to reports. Anyone with information is asked to call Boardman police at 330-726-4144.
