Silly Science Sunday for kids at OH WOW!

Children will have an opportunity to “get silly with science” from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 25 when OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science and Technology, 11 W. Federal St., presents “Silly Science Sunday.” In addition to the center’s permanent exhibits, outdoor events will take place along a closed section of West Federal Street between the square and Phelps Street. The popular children’s musical group, Hey Kid!, will perform at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, and may be purchased by calling OH WOW! at 330-744-5914 or downloading a ticket order form at www.OHWOWkids.org.

Vendors being sought for St. Nick’s craft show

The second annual St. Nicholas Craft Show is looking for vendors. The craft show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5. Vendor applications are available at the church office, 764 Fifth St., which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The registration fee is $25. Business contributions sought for golf outing

Zion Lutheran Church is seeking individuals and businesses to help with its second annual Benevolent Golf Outing, set for 9 a.m. Sept. 24 at Tanglewood Golf Course in Pulaski. The format is a four-person scramble. All proceeds go to two local causes to help the needy: The Midlothian Free Clinic, located at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and the food distribution program at Zion Lutheran Church. John Prokop of Zion Lutheran is chairman of corporate sponsorships and gifts for the outing.

Businesses are being sought to donate a gift certificate, a gift for a silent auction or food for the event, to sponsor a golfer or a foursome for the event, sponsor a hole, or sponsor the putting green or beverage cart.
