William Penn branch to meet Tuesday

YOUNGSTOWN

William Penn Association, Branch 28, of Youngstown, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Boardman Eat n’ Park Restaurant.

The program will be the 125th WPA dinner, 50-year members and the family Christmas party.

GOP dinner program to recall the 1960s

The Mahoning County Republican Party will have a fall dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.

Entertainment will be provided by the Seraphim Chorus, with soloist Jim McClellan, and their “Salute to the ’60s.”

The program will be hosted by Atty. Staughton Lynd, who provides a stirring first-hand account of his experiences in the Deep South during the volatile ’60s.

Tickets are $75 each or $125 for two.
