MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Sept. 21: Chicken breast, red potato, oriental veggies, pears, bread, pudding roll and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 22: Pork roast, collard greens, sweet mashed potatoes, peaches, bun, fresh apple and milk.

Friday, Sept. 23: Lasagna stackers with sauce, spinach, squash, applesauce, muffin, grape juice and milk.

Saturday, Sept. 24: Ham, romaine salad, three-bean salad, cookie, bread, gelatin and milk.

Monday, Sept. 26: Chicken teriyaki, oriental veggies, zuccini, fruit punch, wheat bread, fortune cookie, fruit and milk.

Tuesday, Sept. 27: Barbecue pork patty, brussels sprouts, peaches, salad, cupcake, Diamond Jim bun and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Sept. 21: Tossed salad with french dressing, tuna salad, three bean salad, diced peaches, wheat bread with margarine, and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 22: Chicken breast patty with mayo, green beans, cauliflower, hamburger bun, orange and milk.

Friday, Sept. 23: Beef stew, rice, yellow beans, corn muffin pears and milk.

Monday, Sept. 26: Stuffed pepper with sauce, mashed potatoes, corn o’brien, wheat bread with margarine, unsweetened mixed fruit and milk.

Tuesday, Sept. 27: Barbecue riblet, scalloped potatoes, spinach with vinegar, Diamond Jim bun, golden apple, and milk.
