The YSU football team leads Illinois State 14-6 after the first quarter.

YSU took the lead on a 25-yard TD pass from Kurt Hess to Christian Bryan, then added a 10-yard TD pass from Hess to Kevin Watts.

Illinois State scored on a 12-yard TD pass from Matt Brown to Tyron Walker but Obinna Ekweremuba blocked the extra point.
