Friends of Beaver Creek State Park’s Pioneer Village will have its monthly pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at 1201 Echo Dell Road. The Pioneer Village is not funded by the state. Donations go for upkeep and programs.
Bridge classes at JCC
YOUNGSTOWN
The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, is offering the Bridge Diamond Series class for those who already know how to play and are familiar with basic bidding. This is the second step in a four-part series of bridge lessons. Classes will be on Tuesdays, Sept. 20-Nov. 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. Also offered is a Learn How to Play Bridge series, on Mondays, Sept. 19 through Nov. 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. This class will teach basic bridge techniques. The book “Bidding in the 21st Century-The Club Series” will be needed and must be purchased before classes begin. Salem center plans car show, breakfast
SALEM
The Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave., will sponsor a car show and breakfast Sunday. Breakfast will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. and the car show will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Breakfast costs $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. The car entry fee is $5; the cost for car entry and one breakfast is $10. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: SCC Staff Choice, and First and Second Place Viewers’ Choice. Dash plaques will go to the first 50 registered cars. All makes, models and years are welcome. Also featured will be a 50-50 raffle, door prizes, music trivia and a DJ. All proceeds will go to future programming and scholarships for the Children’s Fitness Center.
