Man arrested in Hermitage bank robbery

A Greenville, Pa., man has been arrested in an Aug. 29 bank robbery in Hermitage.
Kenneth Stowell, 64, of 27 Kinsman Road, was arrested at the Hermitage Police Department around 3 p.m. Wednesday after he turned himself in, police said.
Police said tips led to Stowell’s being a suspect in the robbery at PNC Bank on North Hermitage Road. Police interviewed him, and he admitted the robbery, they said.
After his arrest, Stowell was taken before District Magistrate Dennis Songer where he was arraigned and his bond was set at $10,000.
Stowell was unable to post the bond and he was taken to the Mercer County Jail, police said.
