Weathersfield Township trustees approved an additional $8,437 for storm-sewer work as part of the Seaborn Street Safety Upgrade project.
The project is funded at 84 percent by the Ohio Public Works Commission at $123,097, and the township’s portion is about $23,477.
Improved drainage, curbs, widening and paving the road are planned. The project began in early August.
The additional $8,437 will be covered at 84 percent by the commission, or $7,087 and the township will pay $1,350.
The addition will increase the total project cost to $155,011.
Trustees also authorized clerk Fred Bobovnyk on Tuesday to seek bids for two road department vehicles — a 2012 three-quarter ton pickup truck and a dump truck.
Trustees also reminded residents that cemetery lots in the new section of Kerr Cemetery are now available for sale.
The new portions are on the east side of the cemetery, which is located on Salt Springs Road.
The Ohio Department of Transportation has informed trustees that it will do additional milling work on state Route 46 after trustees questioned the condition of the newly paved road in a letter.
Trustees set township trick-or-treat hours for 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
