Police make arrest in South Side shooting, seek second man

YOUNGSTOWN — A man was shot in the foot after he was caught in crossfire this afternoon.

Police said the man was sitting on a front porch in the 200 block of Hilton Avenue on the city’s South Side when two other men began shooting at each other in the street.

Police said they were arguing over a woman about 4 p.m.

Police reported an arrest of Allan Williams, 23, of East Boston Avenue, who was charged with felonious assault and taken to Mahoning County jail. They did not find the other man.

The injured man was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
