New Castle police seeking leads in homicide

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — A man who was shot while trying to break up a fight has died, police say.

Zamara Stelter, 35, was shot in the head 9:32 p.m. Tuesday outside 1107 Pin Oak Drive, police said today.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, where he died early this morning, police said.

Witnesses told police that Stelter tried to break up a fight between two women. Someone else there shot him. There were no arrests as of press time today.
