Meridian's addition will help expand services

Youngstown — Larry Moliterno says the need for alcohol and drug treatment and prevention in the Mahoning Valley is growing.

That made Wednesday's announcement of a 12,000-square foot addition to Meridian Community Care's Youngstown facility bittersweet.

"We don't want to celebrate the increased demand for services," said Moliterno, president and CEO of Meridian. "But this allows us to provide a better environment for what we do and will enable us to expand our services."
