Boardman McDonald’s to move

Staff report

BOARDMAN

McDonald’s fast-food restaurant near the corner of Market Street and U.S. Route 224 will move across Route 224 to the former Circuit City and Auto Toy Store property.

McDonald’s will occupy a 4,400 square-foot building and will be adjacent to the new 13,225-square-foot CVS store and pharmacy, according to Boardman Township zoning records.

McDonald’s new address will be 22 Boardman- Canfield Road, and the project’s listed contractor is Tri-C Construction based in Akron.

Records state the new building is valued at about $308,000.

Anna Mamone, township zoning inspector, said she expects the McDonald’s project to be completed within 90 days.

Cedarwood Development Inc. is the owner of the future CVS and McDonald’s property. Cedarwood purchased the former Circuit City property at 7230 Market St. for $2.2 million during a Mahoning County sheriff’s sale in April.
