Divelbisses mark 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Divelbiss celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently. A headline in their anniversary announcement in Sunday’s paper mistakenly indicated it was their 50th.

Ruetenik farm topic of Kinsman meeting

KINSMAN

Tim Rodgers will present “Remembering Ruetenik Gardens” at a meeting of Kinsman Historical Society at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Kinsman Presbyterian Church parlor, 6383 Church St.

Rodgers is a retired teacher and author from Hubbard, whose family lived on the farm from 1950 to 1972. The farm went out of business in 1975. He will discuss the farm and equipment used during the period.

Celebrate Life Party at Silk Road Market

2nd polo match in East Palestine

EAST PALESTINE

The second annual Covington Polo Match will take place Saturday at Powers Polo Field. Gates open at 12:15 p.m.; the match begins at 2. Tickets are $5. Children 12 and younger will be admitted free.

All proceeds benefit Social Concerns of East Palestine, an all-volunteer organization serving a multitude of residents in their greatest hour of need. It provides various types of assistance, including the purchase of food, medicine, rent and utility payments, as well as holiday programs. The program ensures that families have food, toys and other gifts for children up to 18 years old.
