MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, Sept. 14: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, California veggies, mandarin orange, wheat bread, margarine and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 15: Ravioli and sauce, peas, green beans, pears, Italian bread, gelatin, margarine, and milk.

Friday, Sept. 16: Pork roast, gravy, mini potato, oriental veggies, applesauce, bread, angel food cake, and milk.

Saturday, Sept. 17: Turkey and cheese, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, unsweetened fruit cocktail, mustard, mayo, fudge rounds, and milk.

Monday, Sept. 19: Chicken strips, honey barbecue sauce, winter blend vegetables, carrots, pears, bread, cupcake, and milk.

Tuesday, Sept. 20: Beefsteak burger on a bun, green beans, mini potato, applesauce, grape juice, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, Sept. 14: Chicken fingers with barbecue sauce, potato spudster, broccoli cuts, wheat bread with margarine, grape juice, cupcake or angel food cake, and milk.

Thursday, Sept. 15: Macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, lima beans, white bread with margarine, mixed fruit, and milk.

Friday, Sept. 16: Hamburger on a bun, ketchup and mustard, cheesy mashed potatoes, baby whole carrots, mandarin oranges, and milk.

Monday, Sept. 19: Porcupine meatballs with sauce, mashed potatoes, buttered cabbage, wheat bread with margarine, pineapple tidbits, and milk.

Tuesday, Sept. 20: Steak burger with mushrooms, Diamond Jim bun, peas, mexicorn, applesauce, and milk.
