HOWLAND

Howland (3-1) scored twice in the final 32 minutes to overcome a 1-0 halftime deficit.

On an assist by Christian Silvestri, Nico Dilanni scored for Boardman with 0:26 remaining in the first half. The Tigers finally scored with 32 minutes remaining in the game when Benji Rush made a goal followed by Matt Headland’s tally at 23:30 with Brad Fields assisting. Anthony Calautti had 12 saves for the Spartans (2-2-2), while Howland goalkeeper Kurt Kuszmaul stopped five shots. JVs: Boardman, 1-0.

STRUTHERS

Jake Payne scored on an assist by Matt Ramsey for the Cardinals (3-1-3). Goalkeeper Dalton Smith made 11 saves including a stop on a penalty kick with five minutes remaining. For Erie Prep, Cory Trocki scored with 10 minutes remaining and Joe Bloomstine made four saves. JVs: Mooney, 1-0.
