POLICE REPORTS


Aug. 10

Drugs: Slightly more than 4 grams of suspected marijuana and an item commonly associated with marijuana use were found in the 6800 block of List Lane. No charges had been filed at the time of the report, however.

Arrests: Police charged 18-year-old John J. Cirelly III of Euclid, and 31-year-old Justin J. Nichols of North Adams, Mich., with theft, possession of criminal tools and tampering with a fire hydrant, all misdemeanors, after accusing them of stealing 500 gallons of water valued at $60 from a hydrant on New Castle Road.

Aug. 11

Identity fraud: A Hunters Hill Drive man found out his credit-card number was used to make $1,419 worth of unauthorized charges.

Aug. 15

Theft: A Clingan Road man reported his wallet, a $350 global-positioning-system device and other items stolen.

Theft: A $30 cord was removed from a car on Southwind Trail.

Theft: Someone in the 8300 block of Weatheredwood Trail took a global-positioning-system unit and an MP3 player from a vehicle.

Theft: A State College, Pa., woman in the 3600 block of Park Place reported a DVD player, a GPS device, an MP3 player and another item stolen from her vehicle, for an estimated $375 loss.

Theft: A GPS unit and a satellite radio were removed from a car in the 6500 block of North Carolina Place.

Theft: Pieces of golf equipment, numerous gift cards, a GPS device and other items were missing from a vehicle in the 7000 block of Clingan Road.

Aug. 16

Theft: A Struthers Road man reported the theft of a $150 MP3 player and an $80 music player.

Aug. 17

Theft: A Weatheredwood Trail woman discovered her $200 GPS unit missing.

Aug. 21

Arrest: Police responded to a vehicular accident in the 7900 block of Struthers Road, then charged 25-year-old Russell C. Snyder, 2980 Autumnwood Trail, Poland, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Arrest: Police investigating a one-car accident on Struthers Road charged Russell C. Snyder, 2980 Autumnwood Trail, Poland, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Aug. 22

Assault: A Struthers woman was injured after reporting having been assaulted in the 2800 block of Poland Village Boulevard.

Aug. 23

Arrest: Authorities took 28-year-old David S. Hilton into custody at his residence, 3899 Center Road, Poland, on a charge of being a fugitive from justice related to a charge from Pennsylvania.

Aug. 25

Arrest: A traffic stop on U.S. Route 224 led to 37-year-old Jennifer L. Musmanno’s arrest. Musmanno, of 171 Retort Drive, Edinburg, Pa., was charged with operating a vehicle impaired, then released on a summons.

Recovered property: A green pill bottle with an unknown substance was found in the township and turned over to police.
