EGCC announces new dean’s appointment

Eastern Gateway Community College announces the appointment of Jerry L. Klinesmith as the dean of business, engineering and information technologies, humanities and social sciences.

Before joining Eastern Gateway, Klinesmith was HVAC progra coordinator/instructor at Stark State College in North Canton. He also previously served as interim department chair of engineering at Stark.

His other position at Stark was applied industrial technology coordinator.

His work experience also includes service consultant/field service manager for Kiko Heating and Air Conditioning and service/installation for Catlett Plumbing.

His professional certification includes 12 North American Technician Excellence Certifications and a Secondary Mathematics Education 7-12 Certificate.

Klinesmith has a master of business administration degree from Walden University and a bachelor of science degree in education from Kent State University. He is a graduate of Wintersville High School.

He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Magnolia, Ohio, with their three daughters.
