Since 1962, Corvette lovers in the Valley have found a home in the Mahoning Valley Corvette Club.

When those same Corvette lovers want to show off their hard work, they also team up with the club for its annual Corvette Car Show, held this year on July 24 at Greenwood Chevrolet in Austintown.

All of the members of the club are alike in their love of classic cars and their passion for supporting their community.

“Very little of the money we raise with our annual show comes back to us,” explained club president Dave Millich. “We support our community with most of the funds, and we’re donating the majority this year to The Hospice House.”

Many members of the club were already looking forward to next year’s celebration, when the club will celebrate 50 years in existence. The show’s planning committee said that next year will include a club photo and expanded awards for members.

The show displayed a mix of Corvettes and other classic cars.

Robert Blazer, Austintown native and owner of a 1954 Corvette, particularly appreciates the artistry of the show’s star car.

“I love to support local shows and organizations, and I simply love this vehicle. I’m endlessly fascinated with legend of Corvettes and the feeling they have about them,” Blazer said.

At the July 24 show, Chris Terlesky won Best of Show Corvette for his 2004 Corvette. Best of Show Steel Car was won by Gieg Stiegler for his 1972 Chevelle.
