Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Road, is a host site for Angel Food Program. Various-sized boxes are offered from $17 to $55 each. Pre-order and pre-pay with cash, debit or credit cards, money orders or Ohio Direction Card. Orders for September menu will be taken 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Sept. 15; 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Sept. 17. You also may order online 24/7 at www.cometocrossroads.org until 11:59 p.m. Sept. 18.

Cutting digestive stress
CORTLAND
A free lecture on how to eliminate digestive stress is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lake Vista Club House, 303 N. Mecca St. (state Route 46).
Dr. Thomas Montgomery of Integrative Medical Centers of Ohio and Elizabeth O’Rourke, a dietary expert with Metagenics, will explain how to eliminate digestive stress that leads to constipation, indigestion, belching, diarrhea, irritable bowel and acid reflux.

Recovery center gets grant
Lisbon
The Family Recovery Center in Lisbon has been awarded a federal grant to combat drug and alcohol abuse in Columbiana County.
U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson of Marietta, D-6th, lauded the center and the Columbiana County Drug and Alcohol Prevention Coalition for their important work.
The $115,828 competitive grant is awarded through the Drug Free Communities program, which is administered by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
