NILES

The Trumbull County Democratic party will have a petition-signing event from 4 to 6 p.m. today in McMenamy’s parking lot, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road, to gain signatures for repeal of House Bill 194, and to put it on the November 2012 ballot.

Opponents of House Bill 194 say it includes provisions that will make it harder for voters — particularly the elderly, poor and minority residents — to participate in Ohio elections.
