Trumbull Dems have petition-signing event Wednesday in Niles

NILES — The Trumbull County Democratic party will have a petition-signing event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday in McMenamy’s parking lot, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road, to gain signatures for repeal of House Bill 194.

Supporters of the repeal are hoping to get the referendum on the ballot in November 2012.

Opponents of House Bill 194 say it includes provisions that will make it harder for voters — particularly the elderly, poor and minority residents — to participate in Ohio elections.
