CLEVELAND
Dr. Melissa Marie Amorn of Washington, D.C., exchanged wedding vows with Atty. Michael Klippert of San Francisco on July 9 at St. Paul’s Shrine.
The Rev. William Wiethorn officiated at the 3:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ying Amorn of North Lima and the son of Shirley Klippert of Oahu, Hawaii, and William Klippert of Santa Rosa, Calif.
A reception followed at Cleveland Botanical Gardens, and the couple left for a honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii.
The bride wore a strapless silk organza gown featuring a ruched waist, flower and button detailing and a chapel-length train. Her attendants, in apple green, were her sister-in-law, Dr. Alicia Bachus as matron of honor, and the bridesmaids, Molly Grimes, Dr. Denise Lo and Dr. Katherine Sheridan. Flower girl was Sophia Satarino, the bride’s niece.
Best man was Christopher Golis, and groomsmen were Dr. Allen Amorn and Adam Amorn, the bride’s brothers, and Joseph Tobin. Usher was Matt Shore, the bride’s cousin.
The bride is an otolaryngologist for Multispecialty Group in Castro Valley, Calif., after earning a medical degree from Youngstown State University and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
The groom is an associate with Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati in Palo Alto, Calif., after earning a bachelor’s degree in history from Pomona College and a law degree from the University of San Diego.
The couple are making their home in San Mateo, Calif.
