Celebrating 20 years of Robinson Family
Celebrating 20 years of Robinson Family
Canfield
For 20 years, the Robinson Family has entertained Canfield Fairgoers near the Western Reserve Village.
Monday afternoon they entertained the Canfield Fair Board and guests during a luncheon to close the 165th fair.
Mark Robinson thanked the board and said, “We have so much appreciation for the families this fair brings to our tent.”
George Roman, fair board director, said the board auctioned a copy of the Robinson Family memor, signed by each of its members. He said the book sold for $200.
Weather holds down 2011 fair attendance
Canfield
Unpredictable rains throughout the day Sunday kept attendance numbers for the fair down.
Timm Schreiber, fair board director, said Sunday’s attendance of 63,064 was much lower this year than in 2010. The Sunday attendance in 2010 was 95,382.
He said this brings the five-day total for Wednesday through Sunday to 233,110. Last year’s five-day total was 269,141.
It’s unlikely Monday’s attendance will make up the crowd that was lost on Sunday, Schreiber said.
“When it comes to the weather, there are only certain things you can do,” he said.
