YOUNGSTOWN

A 32-year-old city man is in the Mahoning County jail facing multiple charges after police say he tried to break into a South Side woman’s home early Sunday.

Kenneth Sharpe, 32, of Fairgreen Avenue, has been charged with possession of drugs, aggravated burglary and drug paraphernalia.

Police say a Cambridge Avenue woman called because she believed someone was trying to break into her home. Officers arrived and were checking the property when they discovered Sharpe hiding in the front seat of a car on the woman’s property.

Reports say officers found drugs, money and drug paraphernalia on Sharpe before his arrest.
