Thomases to mark 60th with dinner at Fifth Season

YOUNGSTOWN

Invitations are being issued for a 60th wedding anniversary dinner Sept. 10 at Fifth Season Restaurant in North Jackson for Robert D. and Norma Thomas of Youngstown.

The event is being hosted by their children, Mark Thomas of Toledo, Christine Thomas of Twinsburg, James Thomas of Salem and Staff Sgt. David Thomas of Canfield. The couple also have two grandchildren.

Mr. Thomas and the former Norma McCully were married Sept. 1, 1951, in Trinity United Methodist Church, Youngstown.

Mrs. Thomas retired in 1978 from teaching in Youngstown City Schools. Mr. Thomas, who served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War, retired in 1988 from the assembly line of General Motors Lordstown. The couple are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
