Shannon Renee Wensyel and Robert Louis Saunders, both of Cleveland, were married July 22 in a beach ceremony on Grand Cayman Island.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Brenda Wensyel of Austintown, and the groom is the son of Ronald and Sandra Saunders of Pittsburgh.

The bride wore a slim, white chiffon gown with an illusion halter, beaded empire waist and watteau train. Wearing berry-colored gowns were the honor attendant, Shelley Salvato, sister of the bride; and bridesmaids Carly Gintert and Rachael Blum.

Brad Orseno served as best man. Groomsmen were Raymond Saunders and Sean Saunders, brothers of the groom, and Kevin Sandieson.

The bride graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in English and earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Kent State University. She is employed as a teacher with the Mayfield City School District.

Mr. Saunders graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with bachelor’s degrees in economics and business administration. He is employed as a district manager for the Akron/Canton region of GetGo fuel stations.

After honeymooning on Grand Cayman, the newlyweds reside in Macedonia.
