MAHONING COUNTY
Easter Seals Community Service offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap. The Web address is www.easterseals.com.
Wednesday, Sept. 7: Veal patty, hamburger bun, mustard, ketchup, cubed sweet potato, zucchini squash, grapes, fruit cocktail, and milk.
Thursday, Sept. 8: Beefsteak burger, hamburger bun, ketchup, mushrooms, baked potato, broccoli, unsweetened pears, and milk.
Friday, Sept. 9: Broiled chicken, corn, California blend vegetables, watermelon, bread, fig bar and milk.
Saturday, Sept. 10: Chicken breast, bun, romaine salad, corn salad, bananas, orange cookie and milk.
Monday, Sept. 12: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, grapes, celery, bread, and milk.
Tuesday, Sept. 13: Cheese omelet, applesauce, Tater Tots, blueberry muffin, orange juice, margarine, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY
The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.
Wednesday, Sept. 7: Mild rope sausage with peppers and onions, hot dog bun, french green beans, potato spudster, cherry gelatin with fruit, or sugar-free gelatin with fruit, and milk.
Thursday, Sept. 8: Chicken Parmesan with sauce and provolone, cauliflower, penne pasta with sauce, wheat bread with margarine, apple, grape juice, and milk.
Friday, Sept. 9: Barbecue riblet, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, Diamond Jim bun, coleslaw, and milk.
Monday, Sept. 12: Chicken quarter, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn, rye bread with margarine, diced peaches, and milk.
Tuesday, Sept. 13: Swedish meatballs, noodles and sauce, applesauce, diced carrots, wheat bread with margarine, orange, and milk.
