Last week: The Trumbull County native finished 35th in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Blaney’s night finished 43 laps from the finish with a broken rod in the engine of the No. 36 Golden Corral Chevrolet.

Season to date: Blaney remains in 32nd place in the Sprint Cup standings with 323 points. He’s 21 points behind Casey Mears.

This weekend: Blaney qualified 35th for tonight’s Advocare 500. His speed on Saturday was 181.437 mph. Television coverage (ESPN) begins at 7 p.m., with the green flag scheduled to drop around 7:45.
