TOLEDO, Ohio

An Ohio robbery suspect has been shot to death by police after a wild car chase that spanned two counties, killed one motorist and injured eight other people. Toledo police Chief Mike Navarre says 48-year-old Brian Everett Lipp of Lambertville, Mich., was wanted for aggravated burglary and two drugstore robberies.

Police chasing him collided with a vehicle driven by a 63-year-old man, who died.

The Toledo Blade reports that police shot Lipp to death after he crashed his car, lit a crack pipe and pointed a gun at officers.
