Dinner marks 60th anniversary of the Horvaths

Joseph and Phyllis Horvath of Boardman marked their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 3 with a family dinner at Johnny’s in Boardman, hosted by their children, Patty (Steve) Hill of Liberty; Joe Horvath of Boardman, Donna (Nick) Petrella of Austintown, and Steve Horvath of Youngstown. The couple also have six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Horvath and the former Phyllis Arditi were married Sept. 1, 1951, in St. Ann Church in the Brier Hill neighborhood on Youngstown’s North Side. Mrs. Horvath retired in 1994 as a cafeteria manager at West Boulevard School in Boardman. Mr. Horvath, who is an Army veteran, retired in 1994 from General Motors, Lordstown. The couple are members of St. Charles Church in Boardman.
