55th anniversary is Thursday for the Monoskis

AUSTINTOWN

Robert and Mary Ellen Monoski of Austintown and Bradenton, Fla., will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Thursday.

The couple were married in St. Joseph Church in Renovo, Pa., where they were born and raised.

Mrs. Monoski is a homemaker. Mr. Monoski retired in 1995 as a millwright from General Motors Lordstown.

They are members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and enjoy volunteering at the parish’s summer festival. They spend their winters in Bradenton.

They have five children, Mary (Dion) Felger, Charlene (Daniel) Patrick and Jay (Tina) Monoski, all of Austintown; Robert (Carla) Monoski of Canfield; and Patricia (Corry) Cook of Charlotte, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, with a fifth expected this winter in Palm Beach Garden, Fla.
