Toddler recovering after being dropped from window

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Family members say a toddler who was dropped from a third-story window is recovering.

The child, 23-montn-old Alizae Mosconi, is asking for food, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Mosconi suffered multiple broken bones, brain swelling and other injuries Aug. 25th when a distant relative allegedly dangled the child outside a three-story window to “teach her a lesson” and then dropped her, police say.

Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh upgraded Mosconi’s condition on Wednesday to fair and moved her from the intensive-care unit to a private room. But doctors have not determined when she can go home or whether she’ll suffer permanent damage.

A district judge on Thursday ordered a trial for 27-year-old Terra Jean Hill, of East Liverpool, Ohio, who faces aggravated assault and other charges in the case.
