Gas-rate decrease
YOUNGSTOWN
Standard Service Offer and Standard Choice Offer customers of Dominion East Ohio will see a slight decrease in their gas bill this month.
The new rates, effective Sept. 12, mean the average SCO/SSO residential bill in September will be $34.35, down 29 cents or 0.8 percent from the $34.64 average in September 2010.
All SSO and SCO customers pay the same rate for natural gas regardless of supplier. Rates are based on natural-gas prices.
Rates are for customers who do not purchase gas from an Energy Choice supplier or participate in a government aggregation program.
