House Speaker Boehner to discuss jobs in Ohio appearance

WEST CHESTER, Ohio (AP) — House Speaker John Boehner will talk in his home state of Ohio about the House Republican approach to job creation and getting the economy moving, after the release of a weak U.S. employment report.

Boehner plans to discuss jobs late this afternoon while at the grand opening of offices for a small company that provides payroll and other administrative services for businesses in his home area near Cincinnati.

The Republican plan on jobs and the economy focuses on reducing government spending and regulations and lowering tax rates.

President Barack Obama is preparing to unveil his job creation plan for the nation next week. Today’s Labor Department report showed the U.S. unemployment rate remained at 9.1 percent as employers added no net workers in August.
