Hip-hop festival features Aceyalone

The Youngstown Independent Hip Hop Festival will be Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. at The Lemon Grove, 122 West Federal St., and will feature Aceyalone of Freestyle Fellowship, one of the inventors of freestyle rapping.
Also playing are local acts such as Baker, MC Homeless, Lethal FX and DJ Ludo.
Admission is $6 and DJs will start spinning on the back patio at 6:30 p.m.
Aceyalone is a founding member of the Freestyle Fellowship and also a member of Haiku D’Etat and The A-Team and a co-founder of Project Blowed.
He signed with Capitol Records and released his solo debut, “All Balls Don’t Bounce,” in 1995. Aceyalone has also gained national prominence by being featured on numerous 2K Sports games.
Riddlore is a member of Chillin Villain Empire and a pioneer of Los Angeles underground hip-hop, having been one of the first rappers to popularize the term “freestyling” as an improv art form.
He started Project Blowed along with Aceyalone and Abstract Rude.
