AUCTIONS

Bloomfield High School, 2077 Park Road W., will be the setting for a basket auction Nov. 18. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with drawings to begin at 7. Donations will be accepted at 440-685-4711. Admission of $5 includes 26 raffle tickets. Additional tickets will be available. Proceeds will benefit the Senior Class.

Bristol Elementary School’s sixth-grade chance auction will take place Friday in the school cafeteria, 1845 state Route 88, Bristolville. Doors open at 5 p.m., and drawings start at 7. Admission is $3 and includes 10 tickets. Additional tickets will be five for $1. The concession stand will be open, and baked goods will be sold. All proceeds go toward the sixth-grade trip to Washington, D.C.

Ursuline High School will have its ninth annual auction, “Celebrate Our Legacy,” on Saturday in the gymnasium. The event begins at 6 p.m. and features four silent tables, a live auction, a basket auction, a gourmet dinner and an open bar. The cost is $60 per person. BAZAARS

Kinsman Presbyterian Church, Church Street, Kinsman, will have a bazaar from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. Attic booth opens at 11 a.m., and all others, at noon. A turkey dinner will be served from noon to 5 p.m. Dinner tickets are $8 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 11 and free for those 3 and under. Takeouts will be available. The Women’s Association of New Bedford Presbyterian Church, 151 Woodland Drive, at the corner of Marr Road, will sponsor its annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. It will feature homemade crafts, a Christmas room, a plant room, a trash and treasure room and a candy room. The country store features baked goods and other treats. Lunch will be served with sandwiches, homemade soup, desserts and beverages.

Wickliffe Christian Church, 3939 Potomac Ave., Austintown, will have an Olde Time Bazaar & Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Among the features will be a lunch counter, baked goods sale, quilted items and a basket auction. For more information call the church at 330-799-2183.

CARD, BINGO PARTIES

St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will sponsor a Super Bingo on Sunday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. for early birds, lunch and seating, and games begin at 2. A donation of $25 entitles players to free daubers, coffee and pop throughout the day, cards, and a chance to win $3,400 in cash prizes, including a $1,000 guaranteed coverall. There will be a lunch counter, bake sale and goodies sale. No one under 18 will be admitted.

St. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell, will have a card and bingo social sponsored by the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild on Sunday at the church. Doors open at 11 a.m., and games begin at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served from noon to 12:30 p.m.

CRAFT SHOWS

Student Art Association at Youngstown State University will sponsor its Fine Art and Craft Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 and from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 4. The sale will take place at the McDonough Museum of Art, 525 Wick Ave., on the YSU campus. The SAA also will host a chance auction. All proceeds benefit the association.

West Middlesex High School, Route 18, West Middlesex, Pa., will be the setting for a fine arts and craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be homemade ethnic food and pastries. A $2 donation is requested as an entrance fee. The event is sponsored by the West Middlesex High School baseball team.

NIGHTS AT RACES

TNR of Warren and Safe at Last Dog Rescue of Ohio will have a Night at the Races on Saturday at Knights of Columbus, 1947 E. Market St., Warren. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the first race will be at 7. Admission is $5 per person. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. There also will be a basket auction, 50-50 raffle, food and alcohol. Patrons must be 21 or over to enter. Proceeds will help the organizations save the dogs and cats of Trumbull and Mahoning counties. Donations are tax deductible. RAFFLES

Humane Society of Columbiana County has scheduled its ROCC and Rescue Reverse Raffle for Sunday at the Salem Golf Club. The $50 ticket price includes a chance at the $1,200 grand prize, two dinners, dessert and coffee. Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7. Christian Bible Baptist Church, 2369 Oak St. Ext., Youngstown, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Heartland Christian School is having a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Custom Comfort Systems, 44725 state Route 14, Columbiana. All good used and new items will be accepted, and may be dropped off at the same address on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit a mission trip to Guatemala being taken in the spring by some of the students.

Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Items will include clothing, furniture, books, and toys. There will be a bake sale on Thursday, half-price sale Friday and $1 bag day Saturday. Lunch will be served on Thursday and Friday.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will host a festival sale for Ten Thousand Villages from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 11 and 12, and from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 13. Ten Thousand Villages is a source for handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, art, etc., representing the cultures of artisans in Asia, Africa, Latin American and the Middle East. Product sales help pay for food, education, health care and housing for the artisans.

United Local Community Education is sponsoring an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the United Elementary School cafeteria, 8143 state Route 9, Hanoverton. Tables cost $5 each.

SPECIAL EVENTS

First Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, will have its 40th and final Lucia breakfast and festival Dec. 3. There will be baked goods, a Swedish auction, Swedish items, and singing and dancing. North Bloomfield Historical Society is sponsoring a card-making party from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the North Bloomfield Town Hall, junction of routes 45 and 87, east on 87 to Park Drive.
