Police say gunman kills self at Cincy bus station

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police say a man has killed himself aboard a Greyhound bus after a confrontation that shut down the Cincinnati bus station.

Officers had swarmed to the station, closing an adjacent street and an Interstate 71 ramp after an 11 a.m. report today of a man with a gun. About 90 minutes later, police reported that the man had been found dead inside a bus bathroom of a self-inflicted gunshot. There were no other injuries.

His identity wasn’t known immediately.

A Greyhound spokeswoman says the Cleveland-to-Dallas bus had emptied at a scheduled stop in Cincinnati and that the man was among passengers who were told by a bus company employee to move their smoking to another area. The man then reportedly showed a gun and ran aboard a bus.
