Pa. teen struck while trick-or-treating dies

CAMP HILL, Pa. (AP) — Funeral services have been scheduled for a central Pennsylvania teen fatally struck by a car while trick-or-treating last week.

Officials say 14-year-old Skyler Wenger died at a hospital Friday, a day after he was struck while crossing a street in Lower Allen Township, Cumberland County.

Neighbors said Skyler and a 13-year-old friend had been out trick-or-treating when they were hit around 8 p.m. The other teen was released from a hospital on Saturday.

Skyler's funeral is scheduled for Thursday.

Counselors were available to students at Cedar Cliff High School, where Skyler was a freshman, and Lemoyne Middle School.

Investigators say the driver stopped after the collision and has cooperated with the investigation.
