2-year-old girl fatally struck in western, Pa.

EBENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Police say a 2-year-old girl is dead after her uncle accidentally struck her with a truck in western Pennsylvania.

Officials say the man was moving the truck after unloading items into the home when he backed over the girl Saturday evening in Ebensburg, Cambria County. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

State police are examining the circumstances of the girl’s death but Cambria County Coroner Dennis Kwiatkowski called her death an accident.
