YOUNGSTOWN

Fellows Riverside Gardens was the site where Katie Maureen Wingard and Joshua Robert Goodwin exchanged wedding vows on July 9 in an outdoor afternoon ceremony.

Benjamin Gammie officiated, and a reception took place at Tippecanoe Country Club.

The bride is the daughter of Denny and Bonnie Wingard of Canfield, and the groom is the son of Scott and Kathy Goodwin of Milan, Ohio.

The bride wore an ivory gown. It featured a sweetheart neckline and fit-and-flare skirt adorned with beads, crystals and silver embroidery.

Wearing aqua-colored dresses were the matrons of honor, Maureen Dongelewic, the bride’s sister, and Sonia Alfeld. Bridesmaids, also in aqua, were Julie Robinson and Carol Shaffer. Stella Brown, the groom’s niece, and Keira Dongelewic, the bride’s godchild and niece, were flower girls.

Sam Springer served as best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Gammie, Shawn Benedetti and Michael Leimeister. Jack Brown, the groom’s godchild and nephew, was ring bearer.

Mrs. Goodwin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in middle-childhood education from Youngstown State University and earned a master’s degree in teaching from the University of Findlay. She is a seventh-grade math teacher in Fostoria Community School district.

Mr. Goodwin earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Ohio Northern University and a master’s in business administration from Bowling Green University. He is an engineer for Marathon Oil in Findlay.

After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple live in Findlay.
