Gov. Kasich to speak at invitation-only rally in Valley for Issue 2 on Tuesday

HANOVERTON

Ohio Gov. John Kasich is scheduled to appear at a political rally with supporters of state Issue 2 at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Spread Eagle Tavern in Columbiana County.

State Rep. Craig Newbold, R-1st, of Columbiana will also be presenting remarks on Issue 2 as will a prominent former teacher and current school administrator from East Liverpool.

According to event coordinator Dave Johnson, “This event is aimed at rallying the base of the Republican Party in the final weeks of the 2011 campaign season…to make everybody aware of just how important voter turnout will be to this very important reform of Ohio’s collective bargaining law”.
