Dana Lynn Donchess and Jason William Schmit, both of New Albany, Ohio, were married July 23 at St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Gahanna, Ohio.

The Rev. Ryan Schmit, the groom’s cousin, performed the ceremony for the daughter of John and Jody Donchess of Poland and the son of Ralph and Rita Schmit of Celina, Ohio. A reception took place at Creekside Conference and Event Center in Gahanna.

The bride’s attendants, in slate, were the maid of honor, Vanessa Waigand, and bridesmaids Kayla Wilson and Angela Otremba, the bride’s cousins, and Kristy Croysdale, Kelly Croysdale, Elizabeth McDougall and Amanda Fishburn. Junior bridesmaid was Sarah Welsh, the bride’s cousin.

Terry Sheeley served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Donchess, the bride’s brother, and Aaron Carstens, Jay Carstens, Brendon Potts, Jason Stammen and Chris Brundrett. Nathaniel Zerbonia, the bride’s cousin, was ring bearer.

Mrs. Schmit graduated from Marietta College with a bachelor’s degree in advertising/public relations and marketing. She is an admissions adviser at DeVry University in Columbus.

Mr. Schmit attended Wright State University. He is a district preload specialist for FedEx in Columbus.

After a tour of Ireland, the couple live in New Albany.
